December Pack Meeting – Friday December 16th

Friday, December 16th at 6:30pm. This year has been flying by and it is time again for our December/Winter pack meeting.  The meeting will be held at the Discovery Musueum in Santa Maria starting at 6:30pm. It will be a fun evening, with many festivities including a dessert pot luck.  We are asking each family to bring a dessert so that there will be more than enough for all that attend.  The pack will be providing the drinks including coffee and hot chocolate.

We are still trying to be a green pack so we are asking everyone to bring their own cup/mug and plate to cut down on the waste.  Those that bring their own cup and plate will have entries into a raffle and prizes will be awarded. A few of the activities for the evening will include a rumored visit from Santa Clause, pie throwing at leaders for all scouts who sold more than $600 in popcorn and more.

We will also be taking orders for sweatshirts and t-shirts for parents and scouts.  Each scout should have a class ‘B’ shirt by now, and if not plese see cub master Paul.  Shirts can be purchased for $10 and hoodie style sweatshirts are $20.  Please bring check, cash or credit card and sizes with you and we will get these ordered so you can show off your pack pride.

All scouts should be in uniform and all sibilings and family members are welcome to this event.

Santa Maria Parade of Lights – December 3rd @ 5:20pm

Saturday December 3rd, 2011

The parade of lights is this Saturday evening.  Floats are lined up down Stowell starting at Broadway going East.  We are number 3 in the lineup so we should be right near the JC Penney parking lot. The parade starts right at 5:20pm so everyone should be there by 4:45pm so that we can figure out seating arrangements and all the rest.  Parking and traffic can be crazy with the street closures, please allow some extra time to get  there.  Bring your smile and your holiday cheer.

Parade Float Construction Begins November 19th, 2011

We will begin our parade float construction the weekend of November 19th and 20th.  It is a great time for scouts and parents to work side by side.  We are defending champions and below is a photo of last years float.
